HEAVY LOAD TRANSPORT WITH SPMTs 

Marraffa specialises in exceptional load transport services carried out with special self-propelled trucks, called SPMT (Self-propelled modular transporter). These trucks use the power of the hydrostatic transmission system to handle exceptional loads and weights even on uneven ground and floors, without jolts, ensuring the integrity of the load. The self-propelled vehicles are composed of modular trolleys able to move both longitudinally and sideways and can be used not only for transport, but also to position and move exceptional loads on site according to weight and size.

TYPOLOGIES OF SPMT

The vehicles and aerial platforms with self-propelled trolleys can be modular, depending on the weight and volume of the load to be transported, with a capacity of up to 500 tons on the road and up to 1000 tons on site.

Moving delicate heavy loads with suitable self-propelled vehicles means operating in total safety and without improvisation: SPMTs are composed of a rigid frame, able to bear any weight and adapt to the length of the load. The structure of an SPMT powered by hydraulic drive motors also makes it possible to lift special loads even on uneven ground, thanks to the movement of the individual axles that hold the conveyor together, which is in turn controlled by the control system and our technicians.
