Handling and rotation of a 220- ton boiler
Exceptional rotation
One of the our most demanding movements handling operations. We worked on the transport by public road of a boiler that left the production plant and was destined for the port of Taranto, for shipment by sea. The handling was carried out with using a 24 coupled axle SPMT.
In order to allow enable the handling at once we arrived at destination, once arrived at in the port of Taranto, it was necessary to rotate the boiler by 90° at the port. The rotation was performed to allow facilitate boarding, due to the boiler’s excessive height. This activity was executed carried out with the aid of two 400-ton and one 220-ton Marraffa cranes.
