Two gas turbine cycles lifting operation with Hydraulic Gantry Cranes in Sicily
The handling activity was carried out with Hydraulic Gantry Cranes
Lifting, handling and positioning of two pairs of electric generators and gas turbines with Hydraulic Gantry Cranes
Another complex movement signed by Marraffa, this time in a thermoelectric plant in Sicily.
It involved lifting, handling and positioning two gas turbine cycles, each consisting of a 140-ton electric generator and a 210-ton gas turbine, with a nominal power of 150 MW. and were handled with Hydraulic Gantry Cranes.
The Hydraulic Gantry Cranes were transported inside the plant by Marraffa vehicles, subsequently assembled and disassembled with the utmost accuracy thanks to the work of our operators. The assembly of the Gantry Cranes, in fact, requires a very high degree of precision to guarantee the correct positioning of the load.
A handling carried out brilliantly thanks to the preparation of the Marraffa operators and the meticulous engineering study carried out by the technical office, with the fundamental contribution of the logistics office.
What Hydraulic Gantry Cranes are?
The Hydraulic Gantry is a mobile structure resembling a lift that uses a hydraulic lifting system that can be equipped with two or four pistons on which beams are installed to anchor the load to be lifted.
